David Berger founded Pyxis Strategies. He has a successful leadership record with high technology and consulting organizations in the US and abroad. He held senior business development and operations positions with leading industrial companies in the fields of Filtration, Vibration Monitoring, and Instrumentation. He directed American, Asian, and European operations with revenues of $400 M and thousands of employees. He also managed smaller size companies and start ups. His portfolio includes mergers and acquisitions, where expectations of benefits were accomplished.
David has hands-on experience with contemporary operations management disciplines. He pioneered the use of Lean manufacturing and Just-In-Time elevating product deliveries to 100% and reducing inventories by 45%. He implemented cost reduction plans totaling $12 M and accomplished a 45% reduction of lead times by applying Kaizen techniques. He utilized Six Sigma and statistical process control techniques to significantly reduce defects in products and services. David championed the use of Internet based models in a global customer service center.
As a consultant abroad, David developed new territories and secured new client accounts. He also led an association that is a catalyst for economic development in Central New York.
